Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy

Elite Minerals has developed the following objectives in matters pertaining to the health, safety, environment and quality Charter.

  1. Elite Minerals policy is to operate in a way which preserves health, safety and promotes a sound environment.
  2. For us, the minimum tolerable standard is to meet our legal, health and safety, and environmental obligations without compromising on improving the standards of operation.
  3. Elite Minerals believes that good health, safety and environmental performance is an integral part of an efficient and viable business model.

Commitment

In line with Elite Mineral's commitment to preserve health, safety and a sound environment, we will:

  1. Provide and maintain healthy and safe working conditions, equipment and systems of operation for all employed with the company
  2. Ensure the protection of the health and safety of other people who may be affected by its operations e.g. contractors, visitors, customers and the general public.
  3. Prevent, or minimize and make safe, air, water and land release of substances that could adversely affect human health and or the environment.
  4. Reduce waste at source to the minimum by the careful use of materials, solid minerals and other resources and maximize production opportunities.
  5. Consider the likely environmental impact of new products and processes at the concept formation stages
  6. Promote compliance and involvement in health, safety and environmental matters by all employees through the effective communication and encouragment to ensure their active participation.
  7. Recognize and respond constructively to community concerns about health, safety and environmental issues arising from its operations.
  8. Provide sufficient resources in terms of people, training, plant and equipment to meet its health, safety and environmental commitments.
  9. Set targets for improving health and safety at work and environmental protection, whiles carrying out regular internal assessments and annual reports on performance
  10. Ensure that each of its locations adopts policies that conform to these principles and commitments, which also describe the local organization and arrangements for putting them into practice.
